Nothing much has been happening to me personally, so I'm going to mention work - don't worry, I promise it won't happen too often...
I recieved an email with an expression of interest in some 3d modelling earlier this week - making 3d computer models of buildings and vehicles for simulation makes up a large part of my business - this was a games company in Queensland that asked me to complete a "modelling and texturing test". All very exciting. Work has been a little bit slow lately, another big client would go down very well.
For the test I had to make the Statue of Liberty. I completed it in two days, the model is good but I felt the texturing lets it down a little bit, they limited me to a very low res texture, much lower than I'm used to... here's some screenshots.
