We went to the dawn service yesterday, they hold an ecumenical one up at the lookout in Ocean Grove. There was quite a good number there, I'd say >50, I think becuase it was fairly warm - and we saw dolphins! It's only the second time I've ever seen dolphins at the main OG surf beach, it was really funny because once they showed up and the whisper started going around the crowd, everyone was craning their necks to see them and stopped paying much attention to the actual service.

The Uniting Church supplied porridge, cereal and toast for brekky, then I came home and made some rissoles and marinated some chicken, then we went to our proper Easter service, which was Really Good. It was quite challenging: "the Risen Christ has authority over all parts of your life" was the main message, the worship was good too. After not being regulars at church for ages it's been great to get four services in three days that we've both really enjoyed.

Then we came home and had a bbq with both our families - cooking the meat prepared earlier plus a mountain of snags - a couple of bottles of wine and our families get along like houses on fire.

Then Elicia went out for tea with some work friends, so I ordered a pizza with my good friend Gitch and we watched the 1942 Hitchcock thriller, "Saboteur". It was alright, not as classic as some of the other Hitchcock's we've seen recently, which is probably why I've never heard of it before...
