Conditions :: Even more snow overnight. It's overcast today with light winds.
I couldn't resist yesterday, I went out just for an hour or so before lunch. It was sunny, but there was a brisk wind that made the top of the Summit a bit icy. It was good to get some practise, and I am pleased to report that I managed FOUR turns without falling over (albeit slow ones). As a percentage of the number of turns attempted that is still low, but I'm getting there... I put my board in for a wax last night too, so next time I go out it will be Even Faster!

Getting your board waxed protects the base from being scratched and worn, as well as making it slide over the snow easier so that speed is increased. There are several ways of getting it done, using different grades of wax and either brushing it on or applying it hot, costing between AU$5 - $30.
