Conditions :: A bit breezy but otherwise perfect. More snow overnight.
Thanks to everyone for the birthday greetings! I also got a few emails and phone calls throughout the day, made it all a bit more special. Elicia had to work until 3:00, but when she arrived home she carried beer, sausage rolls, a jam donut, cheese and bikkies and chocolate. Wow! Then we went out for tea to the Avalanche (upstairs from us) and tried some mexican - it was suprisingly good, although neither of us could eat very much after all the yummy afternoon-tea goodies.
Then I went out to darts. We lost 3v4 again (our standard not-too-bad score), but in the last game they beat us so convincingly that I learnt a new rule: if you lose without even scoring you have to drop your pants and run around while everyone yells and laughs. It was the team game at which that we suffered this defeat, so there were four of us with our pants around our ankles jumping around while the dj happened to be playing "YMCA". I'm trying to think of it as a team bonding experience...
