Conditions :: Very windy, snowing quite heavily. It will be heaven when it fines up, we've had about 25cm of snow in the last 24 hours.
We went snowboarding yesterday, tried a few different blue runs and headed out into the centre of all the hard runs where we've never ventured before. We both had a great time, the runs were so steep that I couldn't turn on them very well at all, but even just coming down gently it's a thrill. Elicia said it is simultaneously the most scary and exciting thing she has ever done! she might have tomorrow morning off, and if it's fine it will be the best conditions ever after all this snow, so we'll be out for sure!
Work has been a bit slow this week, and just now a friend of Elicia's said that she knows some people who want babysitting. The pay up here isn't bad - up to $20 p/h - but I'm really not sure if I want to do babysitting. I'd have the time for it at the moment, and the extra money would be very handy, but babysitting? I thought 13-yo girls did that sort of thing. I feel apprehensive about it, but I don't know if it's common sense or male pride making me feel that way... Is this an opportunity or a distraction? Lord, guide me.
