Elicia got a haircut last night, it is VERY cool and has red streaks. She also got it straightened and looked quite different when she got home, I spent the evening trying to decide if it was good or bad to be sitting on the couch next to a complete (and very attractive) stranger. I put a couple more photos in our gallery, for those of you who are interested.
Then later today I was reading a website a friend of mine sent me the link to, here's a quote:
"A woman who cuts her hair signifies she has rejected the authority of God and man. God does not receive her prayer and her husband can put her away and marry another: she has dishonored him as if she had committed adultery." From www.biblebelievers.org.au/bb990425.htm
I hate to think what they'd say about the red streaks.
Websites (and people) who say things like that annoy me, I think it is insulting to Christianity and God to be associated with those sort of views. No wonder so many people think we're wierdos - some are! I'm going to start a website called "Answers in Jesus" (instead of Answers in Genesis, another of my love-to-hates) that is full of ranting about sensible, normal things like "Who Cares About Creation?", "Mind Your Own Marriage, Not The Men Next Door" and "When to Drink Tea - A Guide to Calming Down and Talking Sensibly".
