Temperature :: -3 deg C
Conditions :: Still lots of snow around, but it's getting icy due to the sunny weather we've had since the weekend.

I answered a knock at my door the other night and there were two of Elicia's workmates there with a sixpack of beer. Getting to be just like home, I thought, or like I wish home had been more often, and it was my friends with the beer rather than Elicia's. Anyway, turns out it wasn't a social visit, the beer was a bribe so that I would change a flat tyre for them, they were heading off the mountain to Bright and a flat was the latest in a long afternoon of hassles.

I got grease all over my ski jacket and gloves, but other than that it was an easy job and it felt good to do something blokey - AND not only did I get the beer and assurances of everlasting gratefulness, but when they got back from Bright they gave us Vanilla Flavoured Coffee Beans - which I have ground and brewed and I am drinking now... absolutely fantastic! It tastes rich, sweet and chocolatey.
