Elicia went out last night and I was sitting around at home getting bored so I joined up to the Free Internet Chess Server. It's a little bit complicated to work out how to connect but I downloaded a graphical interface that helps, and once you get the hang of it it's unreal! There's hundreds of people online all the time ready to play. Most of the games are "blitz" rated, which means they are timed, like speed chess. Also, eveyone gets a ranking, so you can see how good (or bad) a player is before challenging them. I lost every game I played... might have to read a few more tutes I think.
So, now learning to play better chess is on my List Of Geeky Hobbies I Must Try To Find Time For.
