We lost at darts again. We all played badly, even the two guys on the team who are pretty good didn't perform well. Oh well, finals start soon anyway and we never really had a chance of making it to the final eight so it doesn't matter that much. We've had a great time!
New-month's resolutions update: I did okay on the tv-watching front and I ate a healthy dinner but then had a couple of pieces of pizza at darts, so I suppose that devalues my effort slightly.
I've been reading "Finding God in Unexpected Places" by Philip Yancey, my dad brought it up when they visited and I'm enjoying it. I didn't think I'd like Yancey, he previously fell into the "simplistically sentimental" category in my mind - but I think I judged harshly. It's extremely easy to read and mostly based on the author's personal experiences. It is not very academic or deep, but I've found it thoughtful and insightful as well as personally relevant, with chapter eight titled "They also serve who only sit and click". I think I'll go and click some more.
