Conditions :: 2cm of snow overnight and clear this morning means it's not too bad.

We went for another walk up Mt Higganbotham yeterday (got to love that name) and there were plenty of signs of Spring arriving, mostly involving bare rocks but also some wiry plants poking green stems out of the snow. It is my favourite view in the whole world from up there, yesterday there were storm clouds rolling in from the west across the peaks giving everything a much more gothic feel than the bright sunshine.

We have a couple of young guys from our cell group staying with us this weekend, it's been fun so far because we hardly know them really, but they love snowboarding (as well as most other extreme sports by the sound of things) and seem pretty good at it. They've gone out today and the conditions look good, but we can't join them until tomorrow because of our 6-day passes.

I finished the Philip Yancey book, it is very thought-provoking and compelling, with incredible chapters on prison ministry and going into Russia after the fall of communism, all written in the form of personal stories so that it doesn't become too theoretical or preachy. 3.5 (/5) thumbs up!
