Conditions :: Today the sun shone through a few scattered clouds and although it was a little blowy the snow was great!
We went out to an end-of-season staff party last night, it was great but pretty full on: buffet, band and beer/wine/midori slushies included in the price. The best night of the season imho. The band was absolutely great, playing real rock'n'rool like Johnny Be Good and Ke Sahn, the lead singer had a fabulous voice for it and also played rocking guitar including the old behind-the-head trick and using his teeth. Everyone was getting into it in a huge way. Same with the grog. LOTS of fun, but we both had trouble getting up this morning!
Then (after about 5 litres of water and one slice of vegemite toast each) we took advantage of the sunny conditions and went snowboarding late this morning and had a huge stack into each other, I went in front of Elicia not realising she was about to turn and she knocked my feet out from under me, we were tangled up as we went sliding about 100m down the slope! Luckily we are both fine, it was more funny than painful and we kept going for another hour or so after, but right now I've got a sore back and a bit of a headache.* It's the darts finals tonight, our team isn't playing but everyone's invited along and they do awards as well as the final placement games - then more drinking of course - I'm not sure if I feel up to it...
* Debatable if my injuries were caused by snowboarding or partying the night before.
