Elicia's got a few of her old friends around for morning tea, the house meets with their approval - thank goodness - mainly due to its size I think. Funny what women like though - the laundry got the most oohs and aahs.

It's a funny thing about a house, I mean it's just another form of stuff, isn't it - but it's more important than other stuff because it's where you live. Or something. What got me thinking is that any of our friends or family could rent this place if they want to, yet when they make a little fuss and act a little jealous, it makes us feel good. It's the approval from our peers that is important more than the things, but the approval sometimes comes because of things. So if you want to live a simple life without much stuff, you need peers that will give you approval for that. Or you need to be very self-confident.

In other news, I unearthed my Neil Diamond collection yesterday, despite Elicia's atttempts to pack it in a place that would never be found. The box had "boring stuff you don't really need" written on the side. I played all three CDs from the Best Of box set loudly, in succession, and while I do like Diamond I think that might be enough until next time we move.
