Don't tell anyone - it could seriously damage my rep as a geek if they find out I'm (a bit) brown. And a wee bit red as well.
We have heaps of fun holiday stories, but I think the best has to be the winery tour. We were imagining a coach full of oldies, all upper-class wine buffs. Instead, it was backpackers. We were the only Aussies on the bus! Besides the driver - and he kept doing the whole Croc Dundee thing and acting all Aussie bush-tucker-man, which was a bit embarrassing at the start of the day but by the time we'd tried forty different wines it became much more amusing. Jacob's Creek had the largest and most impressive visitor's centre, and you've no idea how much the poms worship it - apparently there's a huge export market with over One Million Glasses of JC drunk every day, mostly by English people who are also drunk every day (if the backpackers were anything to judge by). Anyway, it was all a lot of fun and the people we were with were great.
More stories may emerge as time goes by, and we've also got a couple of ripper photos to show.
