Energy and motivation

I feel tired just writing that title.

Where does it all go to?

For many months now, even years, I've struggled with the feeling that I'm a lazy person. I know so many people who are buzzing from one activity to another constantly, and have many more drains on their resources than I do, and yet still manage to accomplish far more than me, in their work and personal lives.

So grrr. I'm annoyed with myself.

I feel like I've got a job where I should be happy, should be able to work hard, and should be able to Make a Difference (which, in some ways, is my criteria for measuring what I do - does it Make a Difference?). But I find myself constantly lacking in motivation.

One distinct problem of working from home is that when you don't feel motivated, you don't have colleagues around to help pick you up. Or a boss around meaning that you'd better pick yourself up. So the day is far too often spent sat at the desk but not engaged in useful activity. Maybe it's more a question of self-discipline.

So if anyone has any bright ideas for increasing energy and motivation, and self-discipline, please let me know as I would be interested to hear them.
