Death songs, part 3

I think this should be my last entry on death songs. The last word on them should perhaps come from Johnny Cash, who has just released an album of them, despite himself being dead. An impressive feat.

Have a listen to some of the samples on the link. I mean, he even sounds dead. But the tracks are just great. We just don't do lyrics like:

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler,
The gambler,
The back biter
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down

any more. More's the pity, I can take extreme judgmentalism in a song in a way I can't from a preacher.

And 'Like the 309' combines death songs AND train songs. Wow. If this is the last word on death songs, maybe I can strech the theme out to train songs too.
