People in pain? Potential political pawns!

I'm once again pleased to see helpful use of case studies to embellish policies over recent days. We are having a most productive election campaign.

Firstly, there was the woman whose operation was delayed on several occasions. Anxious to help her, Calamatous Force really put himself out on her behalf by doing press conferences with her, to highlight her plight. And it did enable Calamatous to say how much better things would be if only we got people to pay for their medical treatment, co-incidentally what he wants to do, but I'm sure that her interests were uppermost in his mind when sorting out all those press conferences.

Yesterday he was back out helping people again. Mother of boy with autism had a bit of a to-do with Our Tone a few weeks back during a studio debate on Channel 5 (clearly Our Tone was hoping to engage with everyday people by maximising viewers with his choice of channel), but didn't get that far with him. So now Calamatous has picked up her cause, and managed to develop a policy in the process, like a cherry on top of the cake. He says he'll stop special schools closing.

I say good on him. I mean, it's not like we want people like that being a part of normal society, do we? So start as you mean to go on by putting them in a special school. That'll make sure that they'll never be able to cope with having a job or anything like that. All in all, I think we should bring back more special schools, although I think I'd prefer that they were termed 'Basket Weaving and Crayoning Academies', to more closely mirror much of the work that goes on in them.

Perhaps I'll try to make some predictions about future use of people's cases to highlight policies. I'd go for:
- Labour highlighting success of fox hunting policy by interviewing some foxes
- Lib Dems interview Calamatous himself about how having not-too-tight immigration laws enables people like his dad to make a contribution to our country
- Tories to continue to ask anybody disaffected by anything to blame the government for it

So there we are, let's have more people pain converted to political points-scoring.
