every time i looked out the window today the weather was doing something different; blue skies and bright sunshine, tipping it down, blowing a gale. this meant that my resolve to do tonights time-trial wavered many times.

crucially though by the time i got home it had stopped raining and the sun was out, so off i went.

cycling to the start was really quite pleasant, although the roads were very wet and covered in gravel and mud washed off the fields.
signed up and paid my dues, 50p for 10miles has to be bargain of the millenium. unfortunately the sun had gone in and the clouds looked foreboding, i also had the benefit of knowing there was going to be a nasty little headwind in the last mile or so.

the downside of arriving in good time meant that i got no.6 and hance was 6th starting... meaning plenty of people starting behind to overtake me! first came no. 7 ... then no. 8..... followed by no.10 & 11 in team time trial mode (is that even allowed? i dont know)... and then no.9.
by the time i got to the headwind section the wind was getting up and the rain was coming, did a poor time just under 30minutes, but then i dont suppose i have very fresh legs at the moment.

[this weeks totals: 0km swim 20miles bike 5miles run]
