just about had time to get home and have some brekkie before we were off back to bosworth for a walk..
we were off to try out the west midlands walking group to get us out and about and maybe meet some people. have to say i was surprised by the number of people, as were many other people on the paths who had to dive for cover as 40people came stomping past!
the pace was nice and easy taking us from the country park to the site of the battle of bosworth (henry tudor vs richard III) where there's a historic marked trail and on this occasion, a falconry display which we arrived just in time for. very impressive 2 harris hawks and a kestrel.
the return leg was mostly along the canal towpath with a quick detour to see where richard finally met his match.
so 9 miles and several hours later we were back in bosworth for a well earned pint!
it did rather monopolise the day since we didn't get home till the late afternoon. but it was good to find out about the group and good to get out together.
