I can report, with a certain unhumble smugness, that for the first time ever I have managed 50 days of using a set of daily prayers and meditations. This is someething of a record for me, who usually gets a bit flighty after two weeks or so.
The ones I'm using are from the Northumbria Community, and are in a book called "Celtic Daily Prayer" (though whether they really count as "Celtic" is a moot point.) If you can, I do recommend you looking at them (the daily office is on their website) and read some of their stuff.
Other recommended reading for the summer:
"Sayings of the Desert Fathers" ed. by Benedicta Ward, just out in Penguin.
"The Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonoeffer (SCM)
