With occasional showers becoming thundery by teatime.
Why do I feel even tireder than usual after only a three day week? All the vim and pizzazz of Greenbelt has gone and as I walked to the station this morning I just felt so dazed and, well, middle-aged.
After hearing Veronica Zundel speak at GB on obscure women in the Bible, I've decided to read the damn thing from the beginning. All sorts of interesting nuggets in the first half of Genesis - Abraham's not exactly a paragon of virtue, Hagar comes face to face with God and there's this interesting motif of giving neighbouring tribes (Canaanites, Edomites, Egyptians etc) ancestors who did bad things (laugh at Noah's nakedness, incest, distrusting God) in order to justify present (to the writer) animosity.
