I, too, was at Greenbelt

And got loomed over by Herr Ubergruppenfeuhrer Walker, in that particularly tall and curly-haired looming sort of way he has, and was asked, nay, ordered to restart blogging at lunchtime.

It's like living in Nazi Germany.

Without the Nazis.

Or the Germans.

Anyway, 10 things about Greenbelt.....

1. Ched Myers. On prooftexting Jesus to justify war: "'He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword' - well, DUH!"

2. Martin Nicholls' "Beyond Belief" showcase of music based on a trip to the Occupied Territories. I had never seen a picture of the Wall before. "This is insane." Quite.

3. Rowan Williams pauses quite often.

4. Morna Hooker - "Paul not as mean as you think he is".

5. Tall thin bloke with curly hair with giant "W" over his camper van. Strange. (Sorry for eating most of your crisps and drinking half your wine, Dave)

6. Noodles from the noodle bar. Yum. (Does anyone remember the Noodle-Doodle Man, by the way?)

7. The Tiny Tea Tent. Nice. Also some excellent taste in early jazz on their CD player.

8. Big pile of Tom Wright books in the shop. Must. Resist.

9. Generally being with the beloved.

10. Toilets not too bad, I thought, although some of the plastic seats seemed to have come off.
