There is a clock in my workplace

This, of course, is not surprising. As TS Eliot once said,

"there are many
clocks, and many workplaces"

and it is vouchsafed to us in scripture that, according to the prophecy

"there are many workplaces in heaven, if it were not so I would have danced a naked jig on the head of Norman Lamont".

However, the clock in our workplace is particular annoying.

Because it ticks.

Very loudly.

Occasionally.

It will sit there, silently, for months at half past six, then suddenly goes "thunk". Then it'll thunk a bit more, then stop. For months.

Why they've left it there is beyond me. I think it's nailed into the wall about ten feet about the ground, so the awkwardisationable factorising is greater than than the disruptification of the employeetons, so I suspect it will stay there forever.
