Foreign Slippers - It all starts now. I must confess I have a weakness for obscure Swedish indie music (particularly anything from Labrador Records). Unfortunately I couldn't find a better recording of this song. The lyrics encapsulate the frosty northern feeling I got growing up in small town North Yorkshire (which I can imagine as being a bit like Sweden without the fjords, being as it was colonised by Vikings in the 10th century)
"Down your street and through the car park
Snow freezing the blood in your hands
The wind got tired of blowing us back in to town
Away from your old school
Names you couldn't shake
Drifting from the old disasters
of hearts you couldn't break"
