I'm a Happy Bunny

I took part in One World One Heart - as described in a post below. It was basically a huge "Blogathon" where we visited many, many blogs, to "meet" other (generally-but-not-always) crafty people. I really enjoyed myself, and found lots of blogs to give me inspiration when I'm card making. Sometimes I sit there with all my stuff in front of me, and have no idea what to do with it: just browsing various sites will give me an idea, or something to try.

Lots of card makers use stamps - not something I do much of. Possibly because I'm too mean to pay the cost of a stamp block! I may start to invest in one or two though, as I can see the potential of them. There are so many different gadgets out there now, but most of them a little too expensive to justify buying for something I only do as a sideline. Maybe if I had an Etsy shop and sold more I'd feel I could justify paying for a border cutter, or whatever.

I also came across some blogs where the art really was quite scary... But I 'm not naming names in case they have decided to come back on a revisit to The Teapot.

Anyway, the reason I'm a Happy Bunny is that I actually won not one, but TWO of the "door prizes" offered. The first is a beautiful blue bead from this site. The bead is shown on this post. It is simply gorgeous, and Lynne has promised to send me some other beads that match...I now need to work out how the thread them to make a lovely necklace.

The second is a gift certificate for an Etsy shop. I don't know which one yet, as the blogger, Amanda, over at this blog hasn't let me know. But I'm looking forward to spending it, wherever it is!

I've packed up my "door prizes" for my winners, and hope to get them to the Post Office tomorrow morning. I'm sending one to Canada, one to Australia and one to the US...I'm glad I chose something not too heavy as a prize. I meant to take photos before I wrapped them, but, comme d'hab, I forgot. Never mind.
