We went to an interesting talk yesterday evening - Sylvain, the son of Danièle & Paul - went on a tour of the world, climbing the highest peak in each county that he visited. He's written a book, and we went to the first outing of his slide-and-talk show. Although I didn't understand it all, it was still very interesting.
Here is the back of the book
It may be possible to read the info if you enlarge the image, I'm not sure. But importantly, it mentions how Paul's battle with cancer inspired Sylvain to do the journey, raising 11,000€ for Cancer Research. Each photo of him on each peak had him holding a sign: for example, Sommet 26: Pour toi, Papa . I found it very moving, especially as Paul is now so ill that he ouldn't get out to the show.
Here's a brief example of his show:

and here is a link should you wish to purchase the book. (It's in French.)
Please pray for the family as they spend their last Christmas altogether, that they might, despite the sadness and pain, be able to share a special time of joy celebrating Christ's birth, and their love for each other.
