It blows my mind that a 'virtual' community can be such a source of 'real world' support and encouragement. I love that in the middle of what has been, and will continue to be, a great period of change in my world you guys are a constant!! Sitting out there on the other sides of the wibsite and facebook and sometimes even the phone cheering me on!!
After my meeting on Friday I've come to some conclusions about what it would mean to stay in my current role, or more specifically what my new role would look like, and some decisions about what I want to do about it all. The next step is to put the wheels in motion to make some changes and before I do make any definitive moves I'm getting some counsel as to how do to it gracefully and hopefully to come out of it with my dignity and in truth, my dues, intact.
So I would so appreciate your continued prayers - specifically valuable would be to direct them in asking for grace and favour from my employer, support for my future endeavours and release with their blessing.
I don't know how long this is going to take. I want to time it well for all parties concerned. It's scary, it could cause all sorts of fallout and I'm praying definitively against any aggravation and resentment. I've a good relationship with the boss of all bosses and I hope that to follow through with my plan won't affect relations in that quarter. Neither do I have a definitive offer from the University so prayers that an answer to that question would be delivered in a timely fashion would also be awesome.
One thing I do know, while everything else remains uncertain.
My God is faithful, in Him, and in that, I will have faith.
