Woo Hoo, it's raining in Sydney - My car is clean(er) and I felt perfectly justified in taking a bath this evening!!!! Apparently it is going to keep raining until Thursday which is a very good thing... Unfortunately we need it to keep raining till the last Thursday in November so the water reservoirs can get back to allowable levels for daily bathing (as opposed to showering) ... Of course, by then no one in Sydney wants a bath ... we'll all be down at the beach!!!
I had some good news today. I have had an article accepted for publication in a national Christian Women's magazine!! My first real live publication!! Woo hoo... It is an article about my mum and her rehabilitiation from a major car accident 6 years ago, I had almost forgotten that I had sent it in a couple of months back and was stoked to find in my inbox today a request for the photos.
Am happy to report that I haven't had my life to deeply impacted by the Olympics so far except to find myself strangely proud of the Australian achievements... New Zealand has none to speak of so far, not even in the bl**dy Tri-Nations rugby ... gah am I in danger of turning into an Australian? CODE BLUE: CODE BLUE: Quick somebody get me a Steinlager, kumura chups and a Moro bar...
