In honour of the 40th anniversary of the release of Mary Poppins, Channel 7 screened the movie last night. I had not planned to watch it, in spite of the fact I love this movie, it is right up there with TSOM.
Love it.
Anyway, I was sitting on babies last night which presented the perfect opportunity to watch said movie in comfort of someone else's home. It also presented the perfect opportunity for YGM2 to text me and say hi.
The conversation went something like this...
YGM2 :"Hi"
Me "Hi Yourself"
YGM2 "Watcha doing?"
Me "Watching TV, and you?"
YGM2 "Washing and weekend housework before Mary Poppins comes on at 8.30"
Me wondering if he is for real"I love that movie, it's right up there with TSOM"
conversation continues
We texted each other all evening, lots of trivial info was shared and a good time was had by all! Felt a bit like that scene in The Truth about Cats and Dogs. (Without the phone sex. More like the sandwich making part.)
So, it would appear that our first date was watching Mary Poppins together, separately, which he did while doing laundry and house work.
