No way! Number 7 in the top 10 wiblogs for April! I am in a state of shock. I thought it was only John in Liverpool who read my ill thought out mumblings (perhaps he just reads them lots and lots!). Well, thank you to everyone who has bothered to take a butchers at my blogging efforts, I am humbled, etc, etc.
Mad thing 1. Today I was making up some of my energy drink. It's in powder form. I thought the level of powder in the container was a bit lower than it should have been. Then I found the culprit. A spider! I took it out and it ran all over the place for ages! So the stuff works.
Mad thing 2. We have oil central heating. This entails us having a big oil tank in the back garden next to the garage. Every night at about 12:30 or 1am when the temperature goes below a certain point the big oil tank goes (...and I quote...) "KLOOOONG". It is a beautiful, nocturnal sound. I have been attempting to sample this sound for use in a future composition (I kid you not!). I have been beset by these problems so far. Noisy sheep baahing at inopportune moments, passing traffic and wind (of the meteorological variety! It gets in the microphone and sounds horrible). So I think that may be my sampling task for the summer when the 'ickle sheep have grown up.
For any musicians reading this. Go here. I know they're in Germany but much of their stuff is cheaper than in dear ole blighty.
Sorry about the recent lack of blogging, caused by extreme tiredness caused by staying up late trying to sample oil tanks. Will try harder in future.
