I was going to put this in a comment, but thought it begged bigger questions.
I'd love to shut P.J. Harvey (or Nick Cave) in a room with Jonny Baker or Rowan Williams for a couple of hours to talk about theology, art, the role of the artist, etc, etc. Of course I'd 'accidentally' leave a minidisc running. That'd be interesting.
I know Rowan Williams did a similar thing with James McMillan (Scottish Catholic composer) once, which sounds really interesting.
Sadly I think it's not going to happen for a long time. The Church in the UK just hasn't done anything to earn the right to have that conversation yet.
