Hello from wet, windy, freezing Glasgow. Yes, I am now a resident of the big G! Sorry about the break, it's taken me 3 weeks to get online up here. The good news is I have a nice view across the Clyde, the science centre, the Glasgow tower, and Ibrox in the distance. Cool.

Cheers, Chas, Glasgow does indeed seem to be a festival of conviviality and conjoviality....as someone on the muppets used to say....

Anyway, I've just started what (hopefully) will turn out to be a PhD in literature, theology, spirituality and the arts, with bits of post-colonialism, ethics and philosophy (...well, it's an umbrella!). This gives me an excuse to watch lots of 'film noir' at Glasgow film theatre and read novels under the pretext of 'research'.

If you like a good novel then I must highly recommend 'A Dry White Season', by Andre Brink. The sort of book that leaves you aching for a week afterwards!

Anyway, there's lots to tell, but I'm going to spread it out and get some mileage from it all.

Cheers f'now,

DK.

P.S. Cheers Dave W. for sending me my details, etc.
