Finally got round to reading 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' by Milan Kundera last week. What a great novel. Really, extremely cleverly done. Draws you in and before you know it your responses start mirroring (in some sense) the storyline. Highly recommended, even if you have seen the film already. Shall read 'Laughable Loves' over Christmas.
Found a choice quote from John Cage at the front of his book 'A Year From Monday' (1963).
To us and all those who hate us,
that the U.S.A. may become just another
part of the world, no more, no less.
Exactly.
Had some frost here in Glasgow last week and everything turned gorgeously frosty (surprisingly enough!). Clear and frosty has got to be the best weather for photography. Normal things suddenly take on a whole new life and texture and mundane things become so much more interesting. Can't wait for the next freeze.
