Big prints and big sounds.

So, I get The Guardian on Saturday from the newsagents under central station, get home, dry off, put some dinner on, open the guide and the first page I look at there's Celic Connections again in the listings. The old ticket, The Big Issue, The Guardian, I'm being nudged. Maybe I'll try and get tickets for Sinead O'Connor, if only to confirm that she really is quite gorgeous and certainly much better looking than Bob Geldof or Joan Baez.

Also yesterday I discovered the Streetlevel Photoworks gallery, which I'd read and heard about though photo mags and websites. They have an exhibition of nightime photography at the moment, multi storey car parks, road junctions, etc, etc. Sounds dull, but because they've used really long time exposures, all the car lights streak like comets and the movement of people makes them disappear. The prints were also really big, about 5'x4'. Really nice. Lots of inspiration.

And then this morning I went off to St. Mungo's Museum of Religious art and Life and contemplated one of Salvador Dali's crucifictions. Mildly amused that the shoulders and arms were modelled by a Hollywood stuntman. There's probably a deeper meaning hidden in that, just can't quite dig it out at the moment.

Radio 1 have been hammering a song by The Strokes called Reptilia (I think). I think it's kinda' like a day at the beach, you're really careful not to get sand everywhere, but you get home and realise that its in your ears, up your nose, in your sandwiches, down your shorts and everywhere else, it is THAT catchy. And it's not even out yet!
