Hurrah! A John Cage spectacular this Friday at 19:25hrs, broadcasting to the mainland and the colonies. I guess it's not too many people who are interested in the theological and social / interpersonal implications of Cage's work. I guess it's a niche thing. If you'd like to join me you'd be welcome so long as you tell me what you think. If you try to tune in but seem unable to find Radio 3, then it may be because they are broadcasting a performance of 4' 33", a silent piece for any number of musicians on any combination of instruments. Hang in there and it'll come back.
A fortnightly, sunday-afternoon book-group is to be formed in Jazzgo. Start date unknown. Suggestions for any 'staggering works of immense genius' welcome.
