Harold Budd & Brian Eno - The Pearl - Gorgeous ambienty, pianoey, moody, ephemeral, floaty, misty, textures.

John Coltrane - Ascension - Editions I & II - I'm not sure what I can say about this. The sound of a misfits soul being crushed as he pushes himself past every recognised category and barrier. All you can do is let this carry you to wherever it happens to take you.

Nordic Nights - A 'Late Junction' (BBC radio 3 programme) compilation #2 compiled by Fiona Talkington. From the beautiful to the weird to seratonin starved melancholy. God bless radio 3.

Drexciya - Neptune's Lair - Pure instrumental electronica but with such a strong human element to it, and real, proper, genuine, melodies too (!) sets it sooo far apart from the herd. Enough to give one hope that the original techno blueprint outlined by Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson may, even yet, one day be fulfilled.

All f'now,

DK.

"It is not necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paper work, and the other is nostalgia." - Frank Zappa.
