Well, it's half-time and Man U are beating Arsenal 1-0. Darn. As a Liverpool fan I'm kinda hoping that Arsenal will win and J.P. MacManus' horse will do the business at Aintree!

Anyway, finally getting the hang of all this darkroom stuff. Really happy with one 12"x16" I printed up the other day. Shall keep up with practice and reading.

Talking of which, Waiting for the Barbarians by J.M. Coetzee is a fantastic read. Also nibbling away at Love All the People, which is a collection of letters, lyrics and routines by the comedian and (I think) preacher and theologian Bill Hicks and A Way of Being by Carl Rogers, who is another secret theologian (graduate of Union Theological Seminary, New York), but who never seems to be discussed by theologians, despite being massively influential.

Finally bought Bowling for Columbine on DVD. Missed it all when it came out. Brilliant work though. Save me God from those who are certain. Why is it that comedians can see things with a clarity which seems to completely befuddle Harvard's (supposed) best brains, the entire system of government, miltary, law enforcement, legal system, and 99.9999% of the religious institutions? Discuss.
