Considering I'm doing a PhD in Theology (sort of...not sort of doing, I mean sort of theology) I'm really don't know much about the Bible. Out having dinner with a few people the other night and one of the lecturers in the department asks me if I've ever studied the Hebrew Bible. After checking that she was referring to the first half of the Bible (see, I know something!) I offered that I once wrote an essay on the meaning of the little horn in the book of Daniel. Her appetite for intellectual conversation was whetted and asked of the meaning of the little horn (in the book of Daniel). Haven't a blind clue. Not a Scooby Doo. Sorry.

Started reading 'The Fat Man in History', a novel by Peter Carey and 'A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich' by Alexander Solzhenitsyn (yes, I know that probably not how you spell it!).

Anyway, I'm currently in a net-cafe cum video shop on Glasgows Great Western Way and the chap (actually, make that a bloke) on the computer next to me is searching through pages and pages of scantily clad females. He seems to be breathing in a rather...er...strained manner.

Time to go me thinks.
