I'm all for the best, hardest working and best prepared man winning the Tour de France and all that, but, Mr Armstrong, this is getting predictable (if cycling can ever be that!). Please can we come out of next years final time trial with just a few seconds seperating the front two? Please? I've seen a few photos of you shaking hands with George Bush. If you were to come second just think of it as a Karmic thing.
It's hot in Glasgow! Will go and sit on the front steps with 'Last of the Just' by Andre Schwarz-Bart. It really is an extremely good novel!
Finished 'After' by Claire Tristram this morning. Very good. But £11? Bit steep me thinks. Still, there's a lot to think about in it. Some may find it a bit disturbing though.
Saw 'The Pianist' for the first time thew other day. What a great film. If you've seen it and check into here regularly you may remember me mentioning Primo Levi's book 'Moments of Reprieve' a few days ago. 'The Pianist' is a perfect example of a moment of reprieve. If you haven't seen the film it's well worth it.
Also saw 'In the Cut'. Absolute rubbish. Total nonsense.
