No sooner do I get tickets to see Nick Cave in November than the very lovely P.J. Harvey announces some tour dates! I think I can't resist! Where's my piggy-bank?!
Am going to see Rear View Mirror tomorrow night. Haven't a Scooby Doo if it's any good or what it's about. The trust I place in my cinema buddy is quite astonishing!
'My' bookgroup met last night. You may have seen the TV series called Book Group, well, it was not fiction! It's hilarious having weird strangers invade your flat to (supposedly) discuss a novel, but mostly drink wine and nibble nibbles (no, not nibbles the cat!). Anyway, we discussed Haruki Murakami's 'Norwegian Wood'. 4 stars out of 5 for me. If there's anyone reading this looking for a book group in glasgow leave a comment and I'll get back to you. We could do with some...uh hum...less mature members to bring the average age down a tad! Next months book is 'Lovely Bones' by Alice Sebold. Couldn't find it in Waterstones today. Is that a good or bad omen?
Just don't ask how I managed to flush my favourite screwdriver down the big white telephone to Europe on Saturday morning...
It's not even August and already I'm looking forward to the new footy season. Think Liverpool will genuinely be on an upward projectory now Benitez is the brains behind things. Bring it on!
