Wired magazine has a free copyright-free cd (if ya see what I mean) on the cover this month. And jolly good it is too. MP3 it and e-mail it to all ya mates and fear not the long arm of Plod.

Also in Wired was an article on open-source software. There does exist a thing of beauty called Puredata, which helps musicians to realise wonderful noisiality. It's by a guy called Miller Puckette who was one of the people responsible for Cycling '74's Max/MSP, and like Max/MSP is a Csound graphical programming language. But Puredata is totally free. FREE! Now, if only I could get that 17meg download to happen on a dial-up connection.....may have to visit a Wi-Fi cafe in Bristol tomorrow.

Spent weekend in Glasgow and St. Andrews. Nick Cave rocked. The Bad Seeds were sooo tight. 4 x BV's were a bit OTT, and never once played The Mercy Seat or Loverman, but brilliant nonetheless.
