...this week has mostly been Perpetuum Mobile by EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN ( http://www.neubauten.org ). A German band who sing in German and come from an industrial background (as in music, I don't think they used to work in a steelworks in Dusseldorf but y'never know) doesn't look too promising for an English speaking ambient / electronics / acousmatics freak (i.e. me) but I love this CD. Instruments include alloy car wheels, air compressors, plastic poles, steel shafts and an air powered turntable thingy which is pictured on the cover. Just sooo much more sonically rich than your normal guitar, bass, drums, vocals line-up. Go discover.

Artist name of the week must be Roy Orbital.

Almost as good as Wevie Stonder, Bit Meddler (think about it...), Burly Chassis and Psychodelia Smith.
Musicians huh.....
