Been discovering 'new' music. Well, ok, new to me.
Yellow Magic Orchestra - Technopolis and Solid State Survivor - wonderful!
LCD Sound System - O yes, oh yes, oh yes. I am liking very much.
Things are afoot. There's a possibility that I *might* be doing some audio/midi programming work on a forthcoming album (scheduled early 2006 release) from one of the UK's formost exponents of funksome techy electronica. And then taking the show on the road for some gigs around some serious clubs (a la Fabric) and the European summer festival circuit. It won't be for a few months yet (if it comes off at all) but conversations have been had, knowledge of techno history has been shared, music tech chat has been exchanged, we're speaking the same language - fingers crossed and all that.
One of the reasons for the paucity of blog activity is that I'm trying to cut back on the time I spend lookig at a computer screen (it's an M.E./C.F.S. thing!) . Seeing as just about everything I do is computer-centric this is tricky. So I'm using a 13 year old Atari for my music stuff simply because the (mono!) monitor is a lot easier on the eyes....and discovering how the postal system works again insted of sending e-mails. Stamps? What a concept!!!
