....annoying when rock stars fail to live up to their true calling. Blackie Lawless style steel codpieces and the camp, ironic theatricality of Judas Priest's black leather, injecting heroin into your eyeball 'cos all your veins have collapsed, and changing your name to by deed -poll to Alloy Lovechild Gunrider Deathwing: That's what being a rock star is all about. Ask Ozzy. How dissapointing then to discover this:-

Frankly, I must wonder if he understands what he's committing his life to? Does he conceive of the radicality of the message of Jesus when He spoketh unto his disciples (and the backsliders); "What doth it profiteth a man if he inheriteth the whole Earth, yet loseth his own car keys."

In the words of Led Zepellin, it makes you wonder (actually it was more of a "Oooooooooooooooooooooh, and it maaaaakes me wooondeeeeeeeeer", but cut some artististic slack and live with it).

On another note, I don't feel I am ready to blog about that political revolutionary Karl Bartos (of The Kraftwerk Peoples Revolutionary Noise Movement Party) quite yet. Although I am heartened to hear that there are people out there who recognise his mighty contribution to the 20th Century. I was less heartened a few weeks ago whilst watching 'The Weakest Link' (certainly she is the Mother of Paul Scholes!!!) to find that there are persons amongst us in this nation who are prepared to put themselves on TV and make idiots of themselves by responding to the question "Name one of Groucho Marx's brothers", with, "Karl". Gill Scott Heron was right, the revolution will not be televised (due to the extended football coverage). Or do I mean the television will not be revolutionised?

Cockney rhyming slang phrase of the week. 'Keith Vaz' (pron. Keef Vazz), meaning 'Wazz'. Example - a group of young persons are having a drink in a bar. One of them finishes his drink and announces to the group, "Back in a minute, I'm going for a Keith Vaz."
