No such thing as a free lunch.

But free alchool is everywhere! Yesterday a bottle of (real) beer and a couple of micro-bottles of whisky arrived, today the eagerly anticipated bottle of Stormhoek (pron: Storm-hook, South African y'know) arrived. Why did I get a free bottle of Stormhoek? Well, I am a resident citizen of the UK and as such need to use alchohol to transport myself to some place beyond the reach of the insane layers of bureaucracy and the stultifying grasp of officialdom conjured up by our govt. Oh ok, it's a marketing experiment by a chap called Hugh MacLeod. Hugh's aim is to see if it's possible to launch a brand using only blogging networks, no advertising, no flashy magazine ads, no "free car with every bottle" promotions, just word of mouth, or maybe word of flat-panel LCD. Anyway, if you're reading this I guess it's working. Sure beats being constantly treated like a mindless member of target market J4+.
Now, just sit back and watch as politically minded, liberal humanist, urbanite bloggers age 27-43, 72% of whom are male, 84% of whom read The Guar.....uh oh, have I just invented another target market...damn. Is there anything outside of the market?

A real live woodpecker has just hopped onto the lawn 20ft outside the window. Nothing to get excited about, it's just a cider advertisement.
