Bob Moog, inventor of the modern synthesiser, has died. You probably don't realise it but many of your favourite records will have his synths in them, '70's Stevie Wonder, Depeche Mode, Vince Clarke, Gary Numan, lots of classic disco through to Rick Wakeman, Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, etc, etc.
