...trying to find out more about the 82-year-old Labour party member who was forcibly removed from the party conference today by a moronic cake eating gorilla of a security guard for the crime of saying the word "nonsense" during a Jack Straw speech - as was the chap sitting next to him who went to his aid. BBC news reported that a Labour Party statement said the 82-year-old gentleman was asked three times to stop heckling. A claim which is absolutely exposed as a lie by the video evidence and testimony of the "guilty". The 2 men then had their conference passes confiscated and were held under new prevention of terrorism laws. Meanwhile neither Reuters nor Associated Press seem too interested in the story. And over at BBC News things seem to have gone rather quiet after after leading with the story on the early evening TV news, just a small text link to the story in the top-right corner of the main news page. Which is a bit strange 'cos they were very interested when the same thing happened in the Chinese Paliament a while back. Funny, I would have thought that the forcible suppression of free speech at the party conference of the government and subsequent misuse of recently introduced anti-terrorism laws would have been news. Especially when used against an 82-year-old escapee from Nazi Germany who has been a Labour Party member since before Tony Bliar was born. Obviously Liverpool v Chelsea is far more important. I'm off to North Korea in search of free-speech.
