...what some people might tell you, there are some shortcuts you can take. For example, do you want to understand the writings of Franz Kafka? I'll assume you do. Do you want to read all his books? I'll assume you do but don't have time to. Help is at hand. Click here. This will take you to a page on Mr Kafka's novel The Castle. As you will notice, just under the photo of Mr Kafka is some yellow writing - on a white background...what were they thinking!?!? In case you're having trouble reading it, it says:

"NEW!! Browse through the new Castle Gift Shop! A variety of Kafka-related items, with reviews and pictures, and all instantly available for purchase!"

Now, click on the words "Gift Shop" which are in green. This will take you to a page with the message,

"Please click on the link at the left to enter the gift shop of the Castle lobby. Here you will find a wide assortment of items useful to the ardent petitioner and casual browser alike, available for instant purchase. The Gift Shop link will open a new browser window for you. When you are done shopping, simply close the browser window to return to the Castle proper."

Except there is no link to the left. Congratulations. You are well on the way to understanding Kafka. ;-)
