...a fan of the music of Matthew Herbert since the mid-'90's when he was releasing material under his Wishmountain alias on Mark Pritchard's & Tom Middleton's legendary Universal Language & Evolution labels. Well, the good old BBC have come up trumps again. Here's a bit of video [click on "matthew herbert interview"] in which Mr. Herbert explains the difference between Britney Spears and art. There's a great quote on this page from Mr. Herbert too:
“There have been times when the music has suffered because I am limiting myself,” he concedes. “Things are against you when you're trying to make a coffee jar expressive in emotional ways.”
