...I'm simply past caring, but I actually enjoy job interviews.
For a librarian post:
Them: "Are you a member of the library?"
Me: "Yes, you processed my application in person."
1-0
Them: "If you were to be offered the post, when would you be available to start?"
Me: [shrug, glances at watch] "After lunch?"
Them: "It's going to take us a couple of weeks to get references and check your qualifications."
Me: "Oh, ok, as soon as you're ready."
2-0.
Them: "What was the last book you read and the next book you will read?"
Me: "Kafka's The Castle and Bulgakov's Master and Margarita.
Them "Ooooh, I say!"
3-0.
I'm reasonably confident, but then again when you're dealing with the thickly multi-layered administrative "thoroughness" of a county council, it's anyone's guess. Is a masonic handshake always wasted on a woman?
