It's raining again

I left Britain with sunshine and found rain and drizzle in France, get back here and get served major soggy weather all over... I'm glad we had sunshine in between.

Well I've had a wonderful wonderful few days away. I was very well looked after, made to stop and rest, chauffeur driven to my sister's and taken to the restaurant, I mean, what more can I ask for. It was lovely spending time with Fabrice and catching up with friends.
What I'm happiest about is that we're going out. I know that's going to complicate life as it stood as well as bring many more giggles and laughs, which is what we spent most of our time doing. I'm glad neither of us seem to stress overly and thankful for phonecards and email.
I've finally met my mate S's twin girls, now 6months old and very sweet. I and her family also welcomed us with culinary delights and good company. I missed their lads though as they'd gone to bed.
My nephew and niece have grown loads and are still as cute and cheeky as ever. Tristan is struggling with bedtime at the moment though which I think is hard on the whole family. Claire reckons it's to do with getting used to having a nanny and since she's begun work.
Fabrice and I also went on a tour of the hidden passageways of Lyon, typical of the city and intriguing and beautiful. They were the saving of many a poor soul during WW2 but date back much further. It was brill finding out more about one of my fave cities.
Oh, and all I'll say about the French elections is that wlaking round town on Tuesday there were still shop fronts with anti-Sarkosy tags over the windows. Hmmm. I pray things turn out well. Not everyone is reassured.
Voila voila...

Work in 20 minutes, enough time to get changed out of my shorts and find a jacket.
